What are we about?

George is a boutique agency located in beautiful New Zealand working for businesses in New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.  We are focused on providing professional and personalised online marketing that will help your business or brand grow. The constant changes in social media can be overwhelming so we’re here to make it easy for you, offering clear explanations and simple solutions.

We are qualified professionals with experience and passion for the industry we work in. We’re also quite friendly, always happy to offer assistance and guide you through the process of building your brand online.

Who is George?

Our name was inspired by a small child’s father who was fond of boats. One year the child’s father brought and installed an autopilot into the boat, which he named George. This somewhat imaginative five year old girl didn’t see the autopilot as an electronic device; instead as a little man (who bore a striking resemblance to Mario). This small man lived behind the dashboard steering the boat, running around jumping over wires and flicking switches to make sure everything ran smoothly.

After some further investigation she found out that George was a common name for Autopilots and was used by both pilots and ship captains usually uttering the phrase ‘Let George do it’ since the 1900’s

We want to be your George. We’ll work hard, out of sight (under the dashboard, if you will) managing your online presence. We’ll make sure everything runs smoothly, so you can focus on something else … like fishing … or sunbathing, perhaps?

Founder – Gina Pickering

Meet our main lady. Although a kiwi Gina started her career over the ditch working for one of the first agencies in Australia to focus soley on Social Media and which, during her time there, developed into one of the biggest social media management teams in the country. New Zealand is of course irresistible so she came back bringing the knowledge and skills to develop George here. Gina has a passion for working within the digital environment, looking for creative ways to grow and develop businesses.
